Lets Make A Cup Of Tea -Finished- (The Adrian Curcher Foundation)

So after much testing I pushed the fold out poster idea to it's limit and this is what I cam up with. not a fold out poster but a fold out tea bag dangly thing (what are those things technically called?)

Lets Make A Cup Of Tea (The Adrian Curcher Foundation)

I've spent the day testing out possible non filmic outcomes for my self-initiated and here's a small piece of a fold out print I'm in the process of making that shows all the work that goes into making a cup of tea. It's actually turning out a lot better than I was expecting so I might run with it for a bit longer.

Chris Ware Poster for Uncle Boonmee

This poster for the thai film Uncle Boonmee: who can recall his past life by Chris Ware is just more proof that Mr. Ware really is a visionary. I've wanted to see the film for a while and now want to see it even more.

Dogtooth

Dogtooth is a greek film by Yorgos Lanthimos, he's not a director I've ever heard of before but after this film I will definitely be keeping an eye out for him. The film follows a family who keep themselves secluded and lie to their children to make sure they don't leave the house. It's a really disturbing premise that manages to make you laugh and be horrified at pretty much the same time. The whole thing could have easily been a really loud in your face film with a message about how horrible and weird this people are but instead its a really quite and considered film. The thing that most impressed me was how beautifully every shot is framed, it's a really great example of original cinematographer. I hope it get the recognition it deserves at the oscars.

The Adrian Curcher Foundation for constant scientific & logical explanation

I've been working on self initiated for the last week and after a bit of a faltering start came up with the idea of logging everything I do in a day and trying to figure out the scientific explanation for it. This research has turned into 'The Adrian Curcher Foundation for Constantly Scientific & Logical Explanation. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but am feeling rather optimistic about it.

B100 Test Film

I got the test film back from my charity shop find and it works! granted none of the shots were actually that good but I think that was because of how old the film was and it also seems the light metre is a bit off, but hopefully with some practice it should prove to be very useful.
