'Last' Exhibition at Arden and Andstruther Gallery

The projectionist photograph that I did in collaboration with Zac Davidson is being featured in this exhibition at the Arden and Andstruther gallery in Petworth. It's the last exhibition in a series organised by our course in collaboration with the gallery and is shaping up to be a really exciting show.

It open's on Aril 30th and runs all the way through to June 4th so go check it out if you're in the area!

Symmetry

I've written quite a bit about my love of radiolab on this blog quite a lot so why stop now? This new video made in collaboration with them and Everynone is spectacular. Like the last video these two made together this is just a really simple and beautifully shot video that is just so effective. The way it all builds to last scene packs a hard emotion punch (at least it did for me)

Michael at the Genesis, Whitechapel

Another shot taken in the second round of photographing projectionists. This is Michael one of the projectionists at the Genesis. The Genesis is a really unique cinema now a days as it's an independently run multiplex that still uses mostly film projection.

Richard at the Phoenix, East Finchley

I just realised that I completely forgot to post the photo's Zac and I took revisiting our projectionist project. This is still most definitely a work in progress. This is the new head projectionist at the Phoneix since Peter left.

Screen printing at home is a GO!

My amazing girlfriend Kathryn has spent the last couple of weeks making a screen printing bed from scratch so we can print at home and after lots of faff and money it's finally ready and we tested it out. I decided to do my Kermit print and got to take the screens virginity and although it was a very underwhelming yellow bike frame the fact it worked was very exciting.

P.S. I apologise for the PJ's and embarrassing music in the video above)

Kermit on a Bike

Just a quick drawing in preparation for the first screen print I'm going to do on Kathryn's Homemade print bed. I'm excited, should hopefully have it done by the end of the week, (if it works that is...)

The 99 Percent

I stumbled across these talks organised by Behance a couple of days ago when browsing some blogs and have been obsessively trying to watch as many as I can since. So far my favourite one has been the one with Micheal Beirut embedded above, It's really inspiring.

'I don't consider myself creative, I don't have ideas that I want to express that i make up myself. I can't think of any personal projects I've ever done, I just dont work that way. The reason i became a designer is because I wanted people to come to me with problems that I solve, then I get creative. I feel like I'm a doctor and I can't just practicse medicine on myself so I need patients who are sicker, the sicker the better in fact' -Michael Beirut
